ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The nuclear scientist and the father of Pakistan’s nuclear programme Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan has refuted news about his death.
In a clarification statement, Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan said that the people would surely be worried over rumours in social media about his death and he himself has received a number of calls since yesterday inquiring about his health.
However, he stated that with Allah Almighty’s blessings, he is alive and healthy. He hoped that Allah would keep him alive for many years to come, and his rivals would continue to remain in a state of anxiety.
The 83-year-old nuclear scientist said that some shameless and ungracious people with ill intentions spread such rumours that he has been suffering from illness or he has passed away. He said that if such unfortunate thing ever happens, his wife or someone from his family will inform the people.
