Decision of new Chief of Pakistan Army has yet to be taken
Islamabad, Pakistan: The stories about who will be the next Chief of Pakistan Army spreading in media are merely speculation and no decision has been taken so far in this regards, indicate sources close to Government circles.
“Stories appearing in main stream media as well as social media about who will be the next Chief of Pakistan Army are mere speculation because no decision has been taken in this regard so far”, emphasized sources .
It may be mentioned that there are stories being spread that decision has been taken about new Chief of Pakistan Army as the tenure of sitting Chief Gen. Raheel Sharif officially expires on November 29, 2016.
The process of selecting new Chief is always under news in Pakistan but procedure in selecting new Chief of Army all over the world is highly secretive.
There is saying while dealing with procedure of decision making in any army of the world is that “those who know shall not talk and those who talk do not know”.
“Pakistan Army is one of the best armies of the world and follows highest level of professionalism that of course include highest level of secrecy in sensitive issues like who would the new chief of the army”, commented a retired senior military official when was asked to comment about stories being spread about new chief of Pakistan Army.
Various social media websites and main stream media has been producing stories naming one or other, however these are all speculations till an announcement comes from the concerned quarters and that is definitely Government.
