ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Aamir Riaz on Wednesday reiterated the resolve of ensuring unbiased conduct of Sixth National Housing and Population Census across Pakistan.

In a press release, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the Commander Southern Command visited different areas of Quetta City today to oversee conduct of ongoing Census where he met teams engaged in conduct. He was given detailed briefing on progress of Census in Quetta.

Talking to citizens, the Commander Southern Command highlighted the importance of census. He said that people present at various locations appreciated the professionalism and dedication of Army troops.

The Commander Southern Command reiterated the resolve of ensuring unbiased conduct of Census for which all out efforts by civil-military staff is being put in.

Senior government, military and provincial Census authorities were also present.

The first phase of the Sixth National Housing and Population Census continues in 63 districts of the Country including 16 in Punjab, 8 in Sindh, 13 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Orakzai Agency of FATA, 15 districts in Balochistan, and 5 each in Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. It will continue till April 15.
