Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: There has been a lot of disarray on Thursday encompassing Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to Pakistan and in respect to whether the excursion has been wiped out or postponed.

Reports recommend that the visit, planned from fourteenth to sixteenth September, may be scratched off because of the continuous political pressures in Islamabad between the administration and protestors headed by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) pioneer Tahirul Qadri.

National Security and Foreign Affairs Advisor to the PM Sartaj Aziz said amid a meeting on Dawnnews that the Chines pioneer’s visit won’t be crossed out however it is a plausibility that it could be postponed.

In the meantime Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal said on Twitter that the visit had been covered and lashed at the PTI and PTA pioneers.

In any case, the Chinese Embassy has said that they have no learning of President Xi Jinping’s visit being drop and that they are observing the circumstances in Islamabad nearly.

On Wednesday Foreign Office Spokesperson Tasneem Aslam told Dawn.com that the visit by President Jinping is on timetable and was not being drop or changed.

This announcement was made after an abnormal state Chinese group including security and convention of the Chinese president touched base in Islamabad to settle the dates of the visit.

Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri have themselves given certifications that there would be no endeavor on their part to make an obstruction for President Jinping’s visit.

Khan and Qadri have both paid tribute to the Chinese president and have said that China was Pakistan’s closest companion.
