China's deputy minister of national security ministry calls on COAS

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Deputy Minister of Chinese National Security Ministry Ma Jian called on the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif at the army’s general headquarters in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.

The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that during the meeting, they exchanged views on issues of mutual interest including defence and security cooperation between the two countries.

The two sides also discussed overall regional security situation in the meeting.

Separately, the Chief of the Air Staff of Nigerian Air Force Air Marshal Adesola Nunayon Amosu held a meeting with the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Rashad Mahmood in Rawalpindi.

The ISPR said that both the dignitaries discussed prevalent security situation and military to military cooperation during the meeting.

It was highlighted that scope of defence cooperation needs to be enhanced significantly.

The Nigerian air chief also applauded the sacrifices and combat skills of Pakistan Armed Forces in the fight against terrorism.
