Islamabad, Pakistan: International Conference titled “Pakistan: A Land of Opportunities for Central Asian Republics” started here today in Islamabad to gather regional experts of several countries at one platform.

Central Asian experts have arrived in capital city of Islamabad to attend the Conference which is initiated by National Security Division (NSD) to connect Central Asian think tanks with Pakistan.

The event will jointly be organized by the NSD of Government of Pakistan and Center for Global & Strategic Studies (CGSS).

Making the first move by National Security Advisor of Pakistan Lt Gen (retd) Nasser Khan Janjua and his team, the Conference would host experts and high level delegations from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.

The Conference would hold brainstorming sessions aiming at to enhance the regional economic opportunities and discuss regional security paradigm.

Experts from Central Asian countries including Ikramov Adham Ilhamovich (former Vice Prime Minister and Presently Chairman of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan), Saifnazarov Sahib Ismailovich (Deputy minister of Ministry of Foreign Trade, Republic of Uzbekistan), Sharahmetov Sharruh Shaturgunovich (Deputy Chairman of State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development Uzbekistan), Mustafayev Bakhtiyor Rasulovich (Director, Center for Regional Studies, ISPS, Republic of Uzbekistan), Nematov Akram Ilhamovich (Member, National Security Council, Republic of Uzbekistan), Baidoletov Nuradil Esenbekovich (Deputy Director, National Institute of Strategic Studies of the Kyrgyz Republic, Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic, Colonel Kaana Aidarkul (President of the Kyrgyz Association of Women Police,  Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic), Dr. KubanychbekIdinov (Professor of Economic Sciences and Member of the Academy of Entrepreneurship of the Kyrgyz Republic), Georgiy Dubovtsev (Head of the Delegation (Deputy Minister Level)

Director Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of Republic of Kazakhstan, Lessya Karatayeva Kapataeba (Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of Republic of Kazakhstan), Irina Chernykh (Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of Republic of Kazakhstan), Adilkhan Gadelshiyev (Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of Republic of Kazakhstan) and Dr. Khudaberdi  Kholiqnazar (Director, Center for Strategic Studies under the President of Tajikistan) are expected to present their academic papers during the conference.
