ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The two-day International Seminar on “Global Strategic Threat and Response (GSTAR)” has entered its Concluding Day at Serena Hotel in Islamabad on Thursday, offering further opportunities to national & international delegates consisting of eminent strategists and experts to engage in constructive and meaningful discussions on important global national security issues.
Like the First Day, the Second Day of GSTAR Seminar has been divided into two Session titled “The Changing Nature of Future Warfare” and “Force Posturing for the Future”.
The Director Centre for Aerospace & Security Studies (CASS) Air Marshal (retd) Ashfaque Arain will serve as the Moderator in the First Session whereas the Virginia-based Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies Lt General (retd) David A Deptula will be the Keynote Speaker.
The former Vice Chancellor Air University Air Vice Marshal (retd) Faaiz Amir will shed lights on “The Role of Aerospace Power in South Asia”, the former President National Defence University (NDU) Lt General (retd) Aamir Riaz on “Hybrid Warfare” while the Chief Technology Officer Huawei Middle East & European Union Jorge Sebastiao will speak on “Cyber Warfare”.
The Second Session “Force Posturing for the Future” will have the Director CASS Air Vice Marshal (retd) Sohail Malik as its Moderator while the former National Security Advisor Lt General (retd) Nasser Janjua will deliver his remarks as the Keynote Speaker.
The Speakers will include the Military Adviser to the President of CNES (French Space Agency) General (retd) Philippe Steininger whose topic will be “Force Posturing for Industrially Independent and Dependent Countries”, the Assistant Chief of Staff Capability Delivery at UK’s Royal Air Force Air Commodore Simon Edwards will speak on “Next Generation Training”, while the Vice Chancellor Air University Air Marshal (retd) Javaid Ahmed will focus on “Role of PAF in Sustaining Deterrence”.
The Foreign Minister of Pakistan Shah Mahmood Qureshi will also grace the GSTAR Seminar in its Closing Session as the Guest of Honour, and deliver his remarks on “Pakistan’s Vision for Peace and Stability”.
