RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Friday visited the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Pakistan army’s media wing.

In a statement, the ISPR said that during his visit to the army’s media wing, the COAS interacted with its Officers and Staff members.

The outgoing Director General ISPR Lt General Asim Bajwa briefed the COAS about the role and functions of ISPR.

The COAS appreciated the role of ISPR as an institution.

The ISPR said that the Chief of General Staff (CGS) Lt General Bilal Akbar, Vice Chief of General Staff (VCGS) Major General Azhar Saleh and DG ISPR designate Major General Asif Ghafoor were also present on the occasion. 

Earlier this month, Major General Asif Ghafoor was posted as the new Director General ISPR while Lt General Asim Saleem Bajwa was appointed as the Inspector General Arms at army’s general headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.
