RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif visited the flood affected areas of Punjab in Gujranwala and Mandi Bahaduin districts on Tuesday, the Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) said in its press release.
During his visit, the COAS was briefed by the local military commanders about the ongoing rescue and relief efforts by the Army.
The ISPR said that the COAS greatly appreciated tireless efforts of the field formations and Army Aviation, who are working round the clock and at full capacity to provide relief to the affected people.
The COAS directed the commanders to remain proactive, employ all available resources for the rescue and relief, and pledged that army will leave no stone unturned to help their brethren affected by the flood.
