Islamabad, Pakistan: Afghan National Security Advisor Hanif Atmar is reaching Pakistan to discuss enhancing joint initiative to counter terrorism in region.

According to available information, Afghan National Security Advisor (NSA) Mohammad Hanif Atmar arriving in the capital of Pakistan – Islamabad on Sunday to discuss security related matters.

He will have an important meeting with National Security Advisor (NSA) of Pakistan Lt. Gen ® Nasir Khan Janjua who invited his Afghan counterpart for talks to deal with security threats being faced by the region.

“The visit will mark a high level engagement between Afghanistan and Pakistan and Confidence Building Measures (CBM) are resulting fruits”, commented an official in the office of Afghan National Security office when asked to explain the results of previous meetings between Afghan and Pakistani civil and military leaderships.

Pakistan believes that future of Afghanistan is linked with the future of Pakistan and peace in Kabul is inevitable for a prosperous Pakistan.

Pakistan had been utilizing all it resources to pull War-beaten Afghanistan out of crises and had been instrumental for peace talks among fighting factions. However, attempts of Pakistan to broker peace in Afghanistan had been frustrated by several characters including Americans and Indians who are strongly presents in corridors of power in Kabul.

It may be mentioned that National Security Advisor (NSA) of Pakistan Lt. Gen ® Nasir Khan Janjua had held several meetings with Afghan National Security Advisor (NSA) Mohammad Hanif Atmar in recent past during international conferences and SCO related meetings in central Asia, Moscow and China.
