Bollywood Star Aamir Khan has said that he will not travel to Pakistan for swearing-in ceremony of Imran Khan as Pakistan’s next Prime Minister, saying that he hasn’t received any invitation in this regard, the Indian media reported on Thursday.

“I am not going to Pakistan. Haven’t received an invitation for Imran Khan’s swearing-in,” Aamir Khan told News18, an Indian News Channel.

Though no date has yet been officially revealed as when the Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan would take oath as the Country’s prime minister but PTI has reportedly extended invitations to Indian Celebrities including Aamir Khan, Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar and Navjot Singh Sidhu to attend Imran Khan’s swearing-in.

Navjot Singh Sidhu has already confirmed that he would travel to Pakistan for swearing-in of Imran Khan, whom Sidhu called a “man of character”.

Earlier the Indian legendary all-rounder Kapil Dev facilitated Imran Khan after his Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf became the largest political party in the Country by securing nearly 115 National Assembly Seats.

Kapil Dev expressed hope that Imran Khan being the prime minister would be a good omen for the two Countries to come closer and improve their bilateral ties.

Navjot Singh Sidhu was also full for of praise for Imran Khan, saying that the latter’s role would be instrumental in steering Pakistan out of crises.
