ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Senate was informed on Friday that some 90,838 Pakistanis had been deported during the last three years from various Countries.
While responding to various questions during question hour session in the Upper House of the Parliament, the State Minister for Interior Talal Chaudhary apprised that out of the total 28,432 Pakistanis were deported during 2017, 32,996 in 2016 and 29,410 in 2015.
Regarding action taken against the deportees and agents, the state minister said 6,594 persons were arrested besides registering 3,944 FIRs during the said period.
Talal Chaudhry said some 5,293 were convicted and 78 were acquitted during the last three years.
To another question, the state minister for interior said as many as 3388 persons were arrested on account of human trafficking and smuggling during last three years.
