News7 Pakistani soldiers martyred in Indian LoC violation

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Indian troops again resorted to cross fire violation at the Line of Control (LoC) in Bhimber sector on Sunday night which left seven Pakistani soldiers martyred, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In a statement issued on Monday, the ISPR said that “7 soldiers embraced shahadat at LOC in Bhimber sector in cross fire LOC violation by Indian troops late last night.”

“Pakistani troops while responding to Indian unprovoked firing targeted Indian posts effectively,” ISPR added.

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif attended funeral prayers of soldiers at Jhelum who embraced martyrdom in unprovoked firing of Indian forces across the LoC at Bhimber sector, and paid rich tribute to their valour and sacrifice.

Meanwhile, the COAS was also briefed on the situation at the LoC.

While speaking on the occasion, the COAS said that they will continue to respond effectively, and will leave no stone unturned to defend motherland.bajwa tweets

“We are proud of our Army and pay tribute to our jawans. It is the issue of the defence of Pakistan,” the Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb said in a statement on Monday following the Indian ceasefire violation.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said that Pakistan will respond to unprovoked firing in befitting manner.

“Our Army are deployed at LoC for the defence of Pakistan,” she said.

On November 1, the ISPR said that the Indian border forces had committed 178 ceasefire violations at the LoC and the Working boundary in 2016 due to which 19 Pakistani civilians embraced Shahadat and 80 were injured.

Later on November 11, the Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry briefed the Heads of Missions of the Permanent Members of the UN Security Council which include United States, United Kingdom, China, France and Russia on the continued unprovoked firing and ceasefire violations by the Indian occupation Forces on the LoC and the Working Boundary, especially in the past two months.

The Heads of Missions assured that they would convey Pakistan’s concern to their respective Capitals. They also underscored the need for restraint, observance of ceasefire and dialogue to resolve issues.
