News64 Pakistani Hujjaj died in Saudi Arabia during Hajj 2018

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: As many as 64 Pakistani Hujjaj (Pilgrims) including 16 female and 48 male died during their stay in Saudi Arabia for performing Hajj, said a Spokesman of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.

In a statement, the Spokesman said that out of the total died Hujjaj, 46 died in Makkah Mukarma, seven each in Madina Munawwara and Mina while four Hujjaj died in Arafat.

The dead were buried in Hijaz-e-Muqaddas in consent with their heirs.

As many as  179,210 hujjaj from Pakistan performed Hajj in Saudi Arabia this year, and to bring them back to the Country, the Post-Hajj Operation was initiated on August 28 which will continue till September 25.

Meanwhile, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has given approval to renewal of license of Shaheen Airline in the public interest.

A CAA Spokesman said that the initiative has been taken to enable the airline to bring back the Hujjaj from Saudi Arabia.

Earlier, the license of Shaheen airline had been cancelled due to non-renewal of its license.
