WANA, Pakistan: In what appears to be a remarkable achievement for Pakistan, as Irfan Mehsood, a martial arts player from South Waziristan, brought laurel to the Country by registering his 31st Guinness World Record with the latest attempt of most push-ups in one minute.
Muhammad Irfan Mehsood, who hails from long-deprived Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s district South Waziristan, made the record by doing 60 push-ups in one minute with one leg raised while carrying a 40-lb pack.
Mehsood achieved this milestone on April 11 in Dera Ismail Khan despite the lack of all sorts of required facilities. He broke the previous record of 53 push-ups that was made by an American martial arts player.
The record-holder was informed by the management of Guinness World Records via an email on April 11, 2020.
Irfan is a serial record-breaker and holds other records similar to this one such as most push-up one leg raised, carrying 80 ib pack in one minute, and most two-finger push-ups two arms in one minute carrying a 100-ib pack.
The district of South Waziristan has been deprived of all basic facilities especially of sports-related facilities.
The people of the Country could bring more laurels to the Country if they are provided the much-needed facilities by the government.
Irfan Mehsood did the wonders with his self-dedication and love for his game and if he was supported and back by the government, he could break more records and make more achievements in the time to come.
