Only 25 political parties submit assets returns till ECP’s deadline

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Only 26 of the 282 registered political parties subitted their assets returns with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) within due date.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) are among the parties which did not file their assets returns till the last date (August 29) for filing of these returns.

The political parties who filed their assets returns included Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Awami National Party (ANP), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) and Qaumi Watan Party (QWP).

Five terrorists sent to hell in Balochistan Islamabad, Pakistan: On 18 October 24, security forces conducted a successful intelligence based operation in District Pishin on reported presence of Khwarij (TTP). During the operation, five khwarij were apprehended and a large quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives including 3 x Suicide Vests were seized. Apprehended Khwarij were involved in multiple terrorist attacks and were planning to target security forces as well as innocent civilians. In an other operation in District Zhob on 17 October 2024, during a fire exchange with security forces, two khwarij were sent to hell.
