News2000 new teachers to be hired in federal schools: Tariq Fazal

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division (CA&DD) Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhary Tuesday said that federal government will hire 2000 new teachers in capital educational institutions.

He was attending Tablet distribution ceremony organized by USAID funded Pakistan Reading Project for Islamabad teachers and mentors, as a chief guest held at Islamabad Model College for Girls NIH, Chak Shehzad.

Speaking on the occasion the minister appreciated the USAID initiatives in education sector, especially US Funded Pakistan Reading Project.

He said that it is age of technology and added its use in education was need of the hour.

Tariq Fazal said these tabs would help out the teachers to educate the children of grade 1 and 2.

The state minister said that Mobile Libraries by USAID were very effective and appreciable to develop reading habit among the children.

He admired the Prime Minister’s Education Transformation Program to upgrade and develop federal schools for the promotion of education sector in the country.

Talking to APP, the minister said that all 422 schools and colleges of the Islamabad were being renovated and modernized.

He said the teachers were being inducted in these schools and colleges to confront the need of the educational institutions.

The government will hire the teachers faculty in federal schools, colleges from nearby areas aiming at to avoid any difficulty for the teachers, Tariq said.

The minister said that following the order of Islamabad High Court, the government was committed to resolve the issue of regularization of the teachers, working in different schools of the capital on daily wages.

He said that the concerned authorities will make sure the check and balance on the teachers attendance in capitals schools.

The curriculum, he said which was being taught at capital’s schools, would be up to-dated with the help of the ministry of federal education.

The professionals of the education ministry and other educational institutions were engaged to accomplish the task for upgrading the curriculum, he added.
