News2 die, 19 injured as rainstorm lashes KPK

PESHAWAR, Pakistan: Two persons were killed and 19 others got injured as heavy rainstorm lashed different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday.

According to 1122 sources, Jehangir Khan (30) and Umar Khan (child) died in rain related incidents in Peshawar. Fifteen persons were injured in Peshawar and four in Mardan.

Some 409 power feeders got tripped throughout the province, 69 of them had been restored, the sources said.

Walls and roofs of various houses and buildings collapsed while billboards and trees were uprooted due to the thunderstorm in different areas of the city.

The city also witnessed power outages after some pylons fell.
