ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Muslims across Pakistan will observe first Fast on Tuesday after the moon of Ramazan-ul-Mubarak 1437 A.H was sighted in various parts of the country on Monday evening.
The Chairman Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman made the official announcement in a press conference in Karachi on Monday, saying the Ramazan moon had been sighted in various parts of the country.
Mufti Muneeb announced that tomorrow (Tuesday) would be first Fast of Holy month of Ramazan.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in his message to the nation on the occasion of Ramazan-ul-Mubarak said that Pakistan was strengthening and prospering due to prayers of the nation. He said that by the grace of Allah and prayers of people, he was recovering.
Earlier while addressing a ceremony ‘Roze-e-Roshan Ramazan Special’ in Islamabad, the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf said that all television channels should promote the teachings of Holy Quran during the Holy Month of Ramazan.
The minister said that he would write to Pakistan Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) to direct all television channels to promote such programmes during the Holy Month where emphasis was paid on the teachings of the Holy Quran.
