ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The services of WhatsApp have been restored across Pakistan, a few minutes after free instant messaging service was suspended in the South Asian country.

Sources said that WhatsApp services remained suspended in various cities of the country because a fault occurred in the main server.

As soon as WhatsApp services went off, a large number of people began suffering and turned to Twitter and shared mixed remarks.Whatsapp services suspended in Pakistan

However, now reports say that WhatsApp services have been resumed after a gap of around 45 minutes.

“WhatsApp Messenger is a cross-platform mobile messaging app which allows you to exchange messages without having to pay for SMS. WhatsApp Messenger is available for iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, Windows Phone and Nokia and yes, those phones can all message each other! Because WhatsApp Messenger uses the same internet data plan that you use for email and web browsing, there is no cost to message and stay in touch with your friends,” according to www.whatsapp.com.

In addition to basic messaging, WhatsApp users can create groups, send each other unlimited images, video and audio media messages.

Earlier this month, WhatsApp was reportedly banned in part of the World including Saudi Arabia and Brazil.
