ISLAMABAD: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on Monday said that heavy rains coupled with flash floods in hill torrents are expected in Malakand‚ Hazara‚ Mardan‚ Peshawar‚ Rawalpindi‚ Sargodha‚ Gujranwala‚ Lahore‚ DG Khan‚ Dera Ismail khan‚ Zhob‚ Sibbi and Nasirabad divisions in the next 48 hours.

All provincial authorities and departments have been asked to ensure possible evacuation at low lying areas‚ river beds and water ways.

Moreover, all people living in the river or nullah beds have also been directed to shift to safer areas.
