PoliticsNawaz Sharif considers himself above the law: Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Monday retaliated to Nawaz Sharif’s remarks in Peshawar Jalsa with a series of tweets, saying the latter considered an elected prime minister above the law and exempted from any accountability.

In his address to a public gathering in Peshawar on Sunday, the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif once again targeted the judiciary over his disqualification and also announced to make legislation in the future – if Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) returned to the Centre will thumbing majoring in next general elections – to halt the way for disqualifying a prime minister.

Nawaz Sharif also slammed the judiciary for issuing Contempt of Court notices to Talal Chaudhry and Daniyal Aziz for their fiery speeches against the Supreme Court.

The former prime minister also criticized the performance of PTI-led government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, saying that the provincial government had failed to initiate any mega project for the welfare of public.

The PML-N president questioned the promises which Imran Khan made prior to 2013 general elections, and said claim of one billion trees having been planted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was also a mere deception.
