Government of PakistanNawaz Sharif condemns Brussels terror attacks

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday strongly condemned the incident of terrorism in Belgium’s capital Brussels and said the world must put up a joint resistance against terrorism.

Earlier in the day, three blasts rocked the main terminal of Brussels’ Zaventem airport and Maelbeek Metro Station which left at least 27 people killed and a number of others wounded.

In a statement, the prime minister said that terrorism was a threat not only to a single country or nation but to the whole humanity.

The prime minister said that it was the high time to collectively fight against this menace to safeguard future generations.

Extending his heartfelt condolences to the families of victims, Sharif said that those responsible for killing of innocent people were devoid of humanity.

The prime minister underlined that no religion advocates terrorism and killings of innocent people.

“The terrorists label themselves as associated with different religious faiths and beliefs while their actions are in contrary to the religious teachings,” he said.

Sharif further said that no religion allows the barbaric and inhumane acts of killing fellow human beings.
