Nawaz Sharif asks everyone to come forward and serve masses

BAHAWALPUR, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on Wednesday the nation is fed up with negative politics and it is time everyone should come forward and serve the masses.

In his address to flood affected people at Beat Bakhtiari in Bahawalpur on Wednesday, Sharif said that the federal government is fully resolved to bring about a real change in the country by serving the people as per their expectations.

The prime minister said that some politicians doing negative politics are talking about new Pakistan. He asked them to first make new Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where they got mandate to bring about a change.

However, he pointed out that situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has deteriorated in every respect during the last over one year but those responsible for this are talking about new Pakistan.

The prime minister regretted that a few thousand people are demanding his resignation on the plea of rigging in elections. He said that rigging can take place where margin of votes secured by the winner and the runner-up is small. He said that how rigging is possible when the difference runs over 100,000 votes.

Nawaz Sharif said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) secured 16 million votes in the last general elections and those demanding resignation the prime minister are just few thousands.

The prime minister lauded politicians and political parties that played positive role both within the parliament and outside for strengthening of the democracy. He said that they play their role in taking the country forward on the path of progress and prosperity.
