KARACHI, Pakistan: Six people including a woman were killed and 24 sustained injures in a road accident on National Highway in Karachi on Tuesday.

Talking to media, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malir Rao Anwar told that the road accident took place near Sissy Tool Plaza in Karachi where a passenger bus overturned.

The SSP Malir told that the bus was travelling to Thatta from Karachi when its brakes failed and the tyre-rod broke down.

The injured persons were evacuated to Jinnah Hospital in Karachi where two injured were in critical condition.

Dr Semi Jamali at the Jinnah Hospital told media that the women are also among dead and injured persons.

The Country often witnesses road accidents in various parts mainly due to over speeding, poor road conditions and not abiding by the law. The road accidents cause numerous deaths and injuries each year.
