ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The security plan in connection with the arrival of the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Al Saud to Pakistan has been prepared.

The Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman will reach Islamabad on February 16 for a two-day state visit.

Meanwhile, a joint meeting of law enforcement agencies (LEAs) and officials of the Saudi Embassy took place in Islamabad, in which it was decided to hold a rehearsal session of the security team before arrival of the Crown Prince.

More than 2,000 officials of police and Rangers will be deputed during Mohammed Bin Salman’s visit.

It was also decided that special passes will be issued to security officials as well. Security clearance will be made before the arrival of Saudi Crown Prince.

The special security team of Mohammed Bin Salman and a delegation of the Saudi media have already arrived in Islamabad.

Sources privy to the development said that US $20 billion agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) are expected to be signed between Pakistan and Saudi Araba during the Crown Prince’s visit.

Talking to the visiting Saudi delegation in Islamabad, the Finance Minister Asad Umar said that Pakistan welcomes Saudi companies to invest in various sectors including petro-chemicals and mining sector.

Appreciating Saudi Arabia for joining China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects, Asad Umar said that both the countries are now focused on providing opportunities to the youth to enable them play a key role in socio-economic development.

Separately, in a meeting with the Saudi media delegation, the Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said that visit of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Pakistan will take the relations between the two countries to the new heights.

Fawad Chaudhry said that more MoUs with respect to Saudi investment in Pakistan are expected to be inked during the visit of the Saudi Crown Prince.
