ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Rain-thunderstorm (with snowfall over the hills) is expected at a number of places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, Upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, and Lahore divisions), Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during night and morning hours.
While at scattered places in Balochistan (Quetta, Zhob and Kalat divisions), isolated places in Southern Punjab and Sindh. Foggy condition are likely in southern Punjab and Upper Sindh during night and morning hours.
A westerly wave is effecting Pakistan and will persist till Sunday, an official of Met office told APP.
In last 24 hours weather remained cold and dry in most parts of the country. However isolated rain with snowfall over the hills occurred in Malakand Division and Gilgit Baltistan.
Rainfall recorded during last 24 hours remained Parachinar 04mm, Drosh 04mm, Chitral 02mm, while snowfall reported as Kalam 02 inch.
Minimum temperatures recorded on Friday was Parachinar -06øC, Astore -05øC, Gupis -03øC, Bagrote & Malamjabba -02øC, Kalam, Kalat, Gilgit -01øC, Chitral, Dir, Hunza, Skardu 00øC, Murree 01øC, Muzaffarabad 03øC, Quetta 04øC, Lahore 08øC, Faisalabad, Islamabad 09øC, Peshawar, Multan 10øC, Karachi 14øC and, Hyderabad 15øC.
