NationalRain, thunderstorm forecast for parts of KPK

PESHAWAR, Pakistan: Provincial Meteorological Department here Saturday forecast partly cloudy weather for parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with chances of rain-thunderstorm and gusty wind at isolated places in  Kohistan, Battagram, Torghar, Buner, Upper Dir, Lower Dir, Chitral, Shangla, Swat, Malakand, Peshawar.

Met office forecast same weather conditions in Charsadda, Nowshera, Mardan, Swabi, Kohat, Hangu, Karak, Dera Ismail Khan, Tank districts and areas of FATA. Light rain with thunder is also expected at isolated places of Gilgit-Baltistan region.

Weather conditions were attributed with a heat wave that was seen over northeast of Balochistan and its adjoining area. Weak monsoon currents were also penetrating upper and central parts of the country.

Highest temperature of 37 degree Celsius was recorded in Peshawar followed by 36 in Chitral, 35 in Gilgit, 33 in Dir, 31 in Skardu and 29 in Hunza.
