NationalRailways to ply five Special Train on Eid-ul-Azha

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Railways is all set to run five ‘Special Trains’ on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha across the Country in a bid to extend maximum facilities to passengers so that they can spend the Islamic festival with their near and dear ones.

In this regard, Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique approved to run special trains on Eidul Azha, the official sources told the state-run news agency on Thursday.

“Special Eid trains will run from Karachi, Quetta, Rawalpindi and Multan while additional bogies will be attached with trains to accommodate maximum passengers,” they added.

The sources said that online booking facility would also be made available for Eid Special Trains and the final schedule would be issued soon.

“A comprehensive advertisement campaign of Pakistan Railways is being launched to make passengers aware about the special trains,” they added.

Pakistan Railways, they said, had taken several steps to facilitate the passengers as railways were a cheaper mode of conveyance for the public.
