PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Engineer Iqbal Zafar Jhagra on Tuesday said quality education for development of a society was of paramount importance.

Talking to a delegation of Roots Millennium School led by Principal Tehmina Khalid and teachers at Governor House in Peshawar, the governor underscored the need for harmonization and improvement in education system to cater the requirement modern era and for this purpose the government was taking concrete measures on the priority basis.

The governor said students were their precious assets that could play an effective role in development and prosperity of the Country.

Iqbal Zafar Jhagra directed teachers to concentrate on character building and education of students by preparing them for modern days’ challenges.

The KPK governor said it was the responsibility of educational institutes to also focus on the co-curricular activities of students.

Jhagra said a Country could not make progress without promotion of quality education, and that great responsibilities rested on the shoulders of teachers and academicians to focus on provision of quality education to students so that they could play an effective role in development of the Country.
