PESHAWAR, Pakistan: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Iqbal Zafar Jhagra said through quality education we can bring positive change in the society.                     

He said there is no dearth of talent in Pakistan; youngsters graduating from our institutions are doing wonders in various disciplines of life both within the country and abroad.

He said this while addressing the cadets of Scouts Cadet College Batrasi on the eve of its 12th Parents day in Mansehra on Saturday. Cadets were also awarded on their best performance in various categories.

Smart contingents of cadet presented well-disciplined march past, demonstrated gymnastic skills, PT shows, cultural activities and received appreciation from the audience who besides parents of cadets, Members of Provincial Assembly Saleh Muhammad, Mia Zia ur Rehman and Sardar Zahoor, District Nazim Mansehra Sardar Syed Ghulam, Deputy Commissioner Mansehra, senior military and civil officials were also included elites of the area.

Governor also announced Rs 10 lac for the college and 50 thousands rupees for the trainers in horse riding.

While appreciating the performance of Scouts Cadet College the Governor mentioned that the board of intermediate and secondary education Abbottabad has declared this institute as one of the best amongst the contemporary institutes.

The Governor advised the cadets that it is their duty to put on sincere efforts for further ameliorating their careers. This will make your parents happy, he said.

Highlighting the importance of education, the Governor said, it can be the best choice for any individual and society to invest in. These youngsters, the Governor said, are the future asset of our nation who will become leaders and builders of the country in the time to come.

He advised the students to concentrate on their curricular and co-curricular activities because they were the hope for a better Pakistan. He said that the government was giving equal attention to education in the tribal as well as settled areas for bringing about a positive change in the society. Governor also laid wreath at the memorial of martyrs in the college.
