LAHORE, Pakistan: The Punjab government has imposed the “Punjab Prevention of Hoarding Ordinance” under which the hoarding has been declared as a non-bailable offense and a hoarder will be awarded up to three years of imprisonment.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar said that the stockpile not only generates a state of imbalance and illegal profiteering in the society but it’s also an un-Islamic at.

Meanwhile, Usman Buzdar has summoned a meeting of the Cabinet Committee formed to mitigate the impact of the COVID-19.

In the meeting, the issues related to the medical facilities for the infected patients, and the provision of the protective kits and other necessary equipment to doctors and paramedical staff will be discussed.

Besides, the meeting will also review the progress regarding the distribution of financial support to the impoverished segments of the society.

The Punjab Chief Minister will address the meeting through the video link.
