LAHORE, Pakistan: The Punjab government has announced four holidays in connection with Eid-Ul-Azha to be celebrated on July 10, 2022.

The public holidays have been announced from July 8 to 12.

“It is notified for general information that 08th to 12th July, 2022 (Friday to Tuesday), will be public holidays, in the province of Punjab, on the occasion of Eid-Ul-Aza, 1443 Hijri,” said the press release issued on Wednesday by the Services and General Administration Department, Government of the Punjab.

It’s worth mentioning that the holy month of Zil Hajj started on July 1 while Eid-Ul-Azha will fall on July 10 – the 10th of Zil Hajj.

The annual festival of Eid-Ul-Azha marks the end of the Hajj, the pilgrimage to Makkah, and commemorates Prophet Abraham’s readiness to sacrifice his son to show obedience to God.
