ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: A powerful earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale jolted parts of the Country on Thursday, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
In a post on X, the PMD said that 6.0 magnitude earthquake struck at 2:20 pm with an epicenter in the Hindu Kush Region, Afghanistan, at a depth of 213 kilometers.
The earthquake had a longitude of 70.63 East and a latitude of 36.16 North.

The tremors were felt in Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Abbottabad, Upper Dir, Attock, Talagang, and Azad Kashmir etc.
They were also felt in various parts of neighboring India and Afghanistan.
