ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The ceremony of handing over of one A320 aircraft into fleet of national flag carrier Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) was held at Islamabad International Airport on Wednesday.
The Prime Minister’s Advisor on Aviation Air Marshal (retd) Farhat Hussain Khan, the Secretary Captain (retd) Saif Anjum, the CEO PIA Air Vice Marshal Amir Hayat, the Director General of Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) Khaqan Murtaza and other senior officers participated in the event.
This was one of the two aircrafts which were stuck in Malaysia over payment dispute.
While addressing the ceremony, the advisor said that this was the sigh of relief owing to the tireless efforts of PIA team.
Air Marshal (retd) Farhat Hussain highlighted that the induction would enhance the revenue of the national flag carrier.
The advisor further added that the second aircraft would also be inducted into the PIA fleet in about next two weeks.
