LAHORE, Pakistan: The Pakistan Railways will run a special Azadi train like the previous years to participate in the Independence Day celebrations during the month of August 2017.
Talking to media in Lahore on Wednesday, the Spokesman of Pakistan Railways said that the train was being prepared and the PR had sought cooperation of interested parties as well as national departments for beautification of the train.
The Spokesman said that Pakistan Railways would celebrate the Country’s 70th Independence Day with traditional zeal and zest.
“Railway stations will be decorated with colourful lights, buntings, banners and national flags,” he added.
In reply to a question about the schedule of the Special Azadi Train, he said that schedule of the train would be announced soon.
It is pertinent to mention here that PR Special Azadi Train was highly liked by the people in the previous year and its timings as well as route had to be extended on the consistent demand by the people.
