ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Post is making efforts to implement reforms agenda approved by the present government to facilitate postal customers at affordable rates as compared to expensive rates of private courier services.

Talking to the state-run news agency on Wednesday, an official of Pakistan Post said that the approved reforms-agenda includes re-branding of Pakistan Post offices, Mobile Money Solution, Pakistan Post Logistic Company, initiatives through the public-private partnership and many other reforms as well.

He said that on the special directives of Federal Minister for Postal Services Maulana Ameer Zaman, Pakistan Post is taking number of initiatives to improve its services across the country to restore the confidence of its customers. He said that the postal service is still one of the most important departments serving the people in urban and particularly remote areas of the country. He said that Postal Services cannot be ignored despite revolution of Information technology.

Pakistan Post formulated a comprehensive plan to improve delivery of services, embrace digital financial technologies and fast financial services.

The official said that mobile money solution and logistics projects are being launched in public private partnership mode.

He said that the formal process of public private partnership is in its final stages and request for proposals (RFPS) have been drafted and approved by the respective procurement committees.
