ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has assured the overseas Pakistanis that Pakistan army shall perform its due role towards security of Pakistan.

While interacting with the UK based Pakistani Community in London during a reception hosted by Pakistan High Commission in his honour, the COAS apprised them about environment in Pakistan, achievements in efforts against terrorism and militancy and projected its results through whole of nation approach.

The COAS hailed role of oversees Pakistanis towards progress of Pakistan and assured them that Pakistan army shall perform its due role towards security of Pakistan.

“All Pakistanis expressed their pride in role and contributions of Pakistan Army towards wellbeing of Pakistan,” the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release issued on Tuesday.

Earlier on arrival, the COAS was received by Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Syed Ibne Abbas.

The COAS is currently in the United Kingdom on a three-day official visit where he is scheduled to hold meetings with the British civilian and military leadership.
