The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa interacted with the British National Security Agency (NSA) & Cabinet Secretary Sir Mark Sedwill at the Cabinet Office, and the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Defence (MoD) Stephen Lovegrove at the MoD in London.

In a tweet on Tuesday, the Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor said that the COAS discussed the regional situation including the Afghan peace process with Sir Mark Sedwill and Stephen Lovegrove.

The director general ISPR said that both the dignitaries acknowledged Pakistan’s contributions towards regional peace.

The COAS is currently in London on an official visit. He will interact with senior British Civil-Military leadership to discuss matters of mutual interest including evolving geo-strategic environment, defence and security.

Earlier on Monday, the Army Chief visited the British Ministry of Defence, wherein a session of delegation level strategic dialogue was held to discuss geo-strategic environment and Pakistan-UK bilateral military cooperation.
