PESHAWAR, Pakistan: Pakistan and Afghanistan militaries have re-affirmed their resolve to continue their fight against terrorism.
This resolve was expressed in a meeting held at 11 Corps Headquarters Peshawar on Friday between the Commander Peshawar Corps Lt General Nazir Ahmed Butt and a seven-member high level Afghan military delegation led by the Afghan National Army’s 201st Corps Commander Lt General Muhammad Zaman Waziri.
In a press release, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that matters was also attended by Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of both the armies and Inspector General Frontier Corps (IGFC) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
During the talks, areas of mutual security interests and concerns including border security mechanism were deliberated upon.
Both the sides concluded that peace and stability can best be achieved through complementary efforts and enhanced cooperation.
