ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Spokesman Ministry of Water and Power has said that no unscheduled load shedding was being carried out in any part of the country.

In a statement here Tuesday, he said 97 percent Urban and 85 per cent of rural areas have been provided electricity without any interruption at the moment during Sehar and Iftar.

The ministry team headed by Secretary Water and Power Muhammad Younus Dagha is monitoring the situation.

The spokesman said there was record demand this year due to severe heat wave. Load-shedding schedule would start after 15 minutes of the Sheri timing, he said and added that normal load management would follow for the day.

The spokesman said for Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) 1820 MW has been drawn by the system.
