NationalNHA plants 800,000 saplings along GT Road

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: National Highway Authority (NHA) has planted 800,000 saplings under the National Highway Improvement Programme (NHIP) along the G.T. Road (N-5) in the median and Right of Way (RoW).

According to official sources, the projects under NHIP were started in 2010 and completed in December, 2015.

Under the Green Pakistan Program NHA is in the process of developing median and RoW all along the G.T. Road (N-5) and other National Highways/Motorways.

Plantation in the median would provide Green barrier against glare from the opposite moving vehicles and will also contribute towards Highway Safety.
