KARACHI, Pakistan: National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) along with its strategic partner JazzCash have introduced digital payment collection facility for driving license fees across Sindh by partnering with Traffic and Licensing Department of Sindh Police.
New drivers applying for their driving licenses in Sindh will pay their fees through a completely new channel built where JazzCash would the front channel to interface with customer and NBP will settle the funds.
A grand signing ceremony took place at the newly renovated Saleem Vahidy Auditorium of Sindh Driving License Office in Karachi. Mr. Allah Dino Khawaja, IG Sindh Police, Mr. Saeed Ahmad, President – NBP, Mr. Faisal Sattar – Head of Business Services Division, Jazzcash were present on the occasion along with other senior officials including Mr. Nausherwan Aadil – SEVP/Group Chief CRBG, Mr. Mazhar Nawaz Shaikh – DIG Sindh Driving License, Mr. Shahid Saeed – SEVP/CIO NBP and Mr. Azfar Jamal EVP/Head – Payment Services NBP.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Saeed Ahmed said “This service offers simplification of work, which leads to time saving, and minimizes book entry errors as everything will be done digitally. Leveraging the bank’s financial expertise coupled with the strength of JazzCash’s extensive network, we are continuously striving to provide digital solutions to the financial needs of our customer.”
“This solution has been designed to facilitate drivers across Sindh, so they no longer have to stand in long queues to pay license fees as per the previous arrangement at the Pakistan Post counters. Convenience has become a necessity in this digital era, and JazzCash along with its strategic partner – NBP, is taking the lead in ensuring not only our customers, but the entire nation experiences the ease technology offers,” said Faisal Sattar.

The solution will also revamp the driving fee financial reporting and reconciliation mechanism at NBP. This service has been directly integrated with Sindh Police’s system & the representative at the counter will use JazzCash’s digital solutions to make the payment.
