ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The nation is celebrating the 146th birthday of Father of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on Saturday with renewed commitment to work hard for the progress and prosperity of the Country.
The national flag has been hoisted at all public and private buildings throughout the Country.
Today in the morning, Qur’an Khawani was held at the Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi wherein a Change of Guard Ceremony also took place.
To mark the day, a number of events including seminars, debates, and exhibitions are being held both at official and civil society levels to highlight life, achievements, and different aspects of the personality of the Quaid-e-Azam.
In their separate message, the political leadership of the Country has paid glowing tribute to the founder of the nation.
Born on December 25, 1876 in Karachi, Muhammad Ali Jinnah was a lawyer and politician and served as the leader of the All-India Muslim League from 1913 until Pakistan’s independence on August 14, 1947, and then as Pakistan’s first Governor-General until his death on September 11, 1948.
