During the previous government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Rs 27,912,554 were pent on the refurbishment, maintenance, preservation and restoration of three archaeological sites including Ban Faqiran Stupa near Shah Allah Ditta Caves (Rs 4,000,000), Shah Allah Ditta Caves (Rs 432,000), and Rewat Fort.

The Rewat Fort is an on-going project and will be completed in June 2024. The total cost of the project is Rs 71,500,000 and upto April 2022, the amount of Rs 23,480,554 were spent on it.
