ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The National Emergencies Operation Center anticipated that more monsoon rains predicted from August 16 to 18, 2024 with occasional gaps.

Moderate to Heavy falls are expected in Dera Ghazi Khan Division.

The hill torrents and local nullahs of Dera Ghazi Khan Division are likely to experience medium to high level of flash flooding which may result in damage to infrastructure.

All villages/ towns or settlements near nullahs, especially along the flood plain, can be affected by increased flows.

The public has been advised to stay informed by keeping track of weather updates and alerts.

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has launched the Pak NDMA Disaster Alert application, available on Google Play Store and iOS App Store, to provide timely alerts, advisories, and guidelines to the public.

The residents of these areas have been advised to remain vigilant and follow guidance from local authorities.

The NDMA has issued instructions to all relevant departments to take necessary precautions to mitigate the possible effects of flooding and extreme weather.
