ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: A powerful earthquake struck various parts of the Country including the Twin Cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad at 10:02 pm PST on Friday.
However, no report of any casualty or property damage has so far been received.
Sources said that strong jolts were also felt in Lahore, Multan, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Quetta, and northern parts of the Country including in Hunza, Skardu, Gilgit, and adjoining areas.
The earthquake’s intensity was recorded at 6.4 on the Richter Scale and its epicenter, with a depth of 80 kilometers, was in Tajikistan, according to the Pakistan Metrological Department (PMD).

Sources said that the earthquake shattered various buildings, broke the windows, and caused panic among the people who rushed outside of their houses reciting the Astaghfar.
Meanwhile, the Punjab Emergency Services (Rescue 1122) has been put on high alert to cope with any emergency.
