The legendary comedian Omer Sharif has passed away at a hospital in Germany at the age of 66, his wife Zareen Ghazal confirmed.

Recently, while being en route to the United States from Karachi through an air ambulance for medical treatment, Omer Sharif was admitted to a hospital in Germany’s Nuremberg City after his health condition deteriorated.

He left behind a wife and two sons.

Titled as the “King of Comedy”, Umer Sharif was an actor, TV host, comedian, director, and producer. He was regarded as one of the greatest comedians in the Sub-Continent.

After the news of his death surfaced, social media flooded with messages of grief and sorrow.
