The Joy of Urdu – a women-led, international, volunteer-run, bilingual organisation promoting Urdu language and literature – will mark its 10th anniversary with the soft launch of Joy of Urdu Publications’ first bilingual book for children (and adults) – ‘Three Stories From Gulistan-e-Saadi’ on November 26.Launch of Joy of Urdu’s first book ‘Three Stories From Gulistan-e-Saadi’

Joy of Urdu’s first book is a bilingual retelling of three stories from the Gulistan-e-Saadi, one of the great works of world literature and a centuries-old wellspring of character-building stories for children.

In the launch event, a conversation will also take place with the Joy of Urdu Team, Advisors, and Supporters.

Joy of Urdu as an organization grew out of Founder Zarminae Ansari’s personal challenges with introducing Urdu language and literature to her young child as an expat living in Moscow.

Joy of Urdu Publications aims to produce books with an international level of high production quality and age-appropriate content and vocabulary. The books for adults on art and culture will, similarly, be bilingual and will target Pakistani adults and students as well as the Diaspora.
