KARACHI, Pakistan: The 10th International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) will take place at Karachi Expo Centre (KEC) from November 27-30, 2018, aimed at bringing together all the defence industry’s players across the globe to showcase the latest technological innovations.
The IDEAS 2018 is the 10th Edition of International Defence Exhibition and Seminar since 2000.
The IDEAS – biennially organized by Defence Export Promotion Organization (DEPO) in Pakistan – is one of the finest meeting points of the world defence industry for demonstrating, selling, joint venturing, outsourcing and technological collaboration in the Asian defence market.

The four-day eventful IDEAS 2018 is significantly being commemorated through enhanced participation of Pakistan armed forces, national and international defence industry, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), entrepreneurs and high level national and international defence delegations. Its new features are aimed to make IDEAS as an effective platform for defence buyers and sellers.
Ranked as one of the top international events with regard to participation by foreign delegations, the IDEAS 2018 is likely to be attended by high level defence delegations from friendly Countries including Azerbaijan, Belarus, Russia, and Ukraine among many others, headed by ministers and heads of armed forces.
Besides, the participation of a number of defence technology organizations, academia, research & training institutes and defence analysts from around the globe is also likely.
Earlier in last IDEAS held in 2016, 427 Exhibiting Companies from 36 Countries and 88 high level delegations headed by defence ministers, defence secretaries and heads of armed forces from 40 Countries participated.
International Defence Seminar 2018
On the sideline, the International Defence Seminar 2018 will also be organized on November 27 at KEC with the theme “Emerging Geo-Political Environment and the Threat of Grey Hybrid Conflict: Pakistan’s Perspective”.
The Seminar at IDEAS serves as the widely attended interactive platform in the Asian region that present distinctive international outlook for the defence industry.
The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Zubair Mahmood Hayat will be the Chief Guest at the Conference and will deliver the keynote address.
